The instructions say to turn on the headlights with the key out of the ignition and watch a voltmeter and when it gets to 11.7V it should shut down ....

just like they said it perfectly shut down ...

I put the key in the ignition touched the brakes to put a little load on and it reconnected the battery and started right up !!!

no jumper cables no charger needed ......

works very well ... so if you install a bms system or wireless system it would be a great addition to add one of these units ...........................

To keep the auxiliary 12V battery under hood from going dead I found a product called prioritystart ... not cheap but seems to be great ...

I noticed adding the orion system it draws a lot of power drain on the under hood battery ...  I left my truck setting for 4 days without driving it and between the orion the Bluetooth system I added and the regular residual parasitic drain from the original system my truck went dead ...... so that was enough for me

time to find a cure in case it has to set for a while ......

really easy to install a big rubber band goes clear around the battery and holds the unit on the side of the battery ...  you hook up the included cable to positive hook your original cable to the top of the prioritystart unit

put the negative wire onto the negative side of the battery and all done ...  probably a less then 10 minute job ...

Here is the Priority Start unit I purchased to test it out made in Washington state so it is a local company hopefully it works ...
